East Quogue
is a small town (hamlet) located on the eastern end of Long Island between Westhampton and Hampton Bays on Shinnecock Bay. East Quogue is considered a hamlet of Southampton and has maintained its charming, small town appeal, with beautiful old homes, historic bed & breakfasts, a town boat ramp, beaches and quaint shops. East Quogue is near all of the Long Island attractions, such as the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium, the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum, and the upscale shopping and restaurants of Southampton Village. The ocean bays and inlets provide lots of opportunities for swimming, fishing and boating, water skiing, windsurfing and beachcombing. Nearby woodlands and parks offer hiking and biking trails, golf, tennis, volleyball and horseback riding. Long Island has also become known for its world-class wines. The wine country is mostly located on the East End of the island, on the North and South Forks. East Quogue is approximately 15 minutes to the heart of Southampton and 10 minutes to Westhampton and about 80 miles to New York City.

Long Island enjoys a four-season, moderate climate, given its relatively northern latitude-which makes it a pleasant place to visit year-round. It is the largest island adjoining the continental United States, extending approximately 118 miles east-northeast from the mouth of the Hudson River, adjacent to Manhattan Island. Winters tend to be unpredictable and summers can be warm and muggy, but offshore breezes help moderate temperatures. Spring and fall are the best times to visit, when temperatures are mild. March tends to be rainy, but temperatures stay above freezing. April%u2019s warming temperatures makes it more comfortable and May is generally a gorgeous month on Long Island, weather wise. September to November is pleasant and mild, and the changing leaves make it a beautiful time to visit.
